Rising house phenom GUDFELLA dropped his debut EP, galleria, on Thrive Music. Its seven soundscapes showcase the dynamic nature of his productions.

Los Angeles-based DJ and producer GUDFELLA has been on quite a rise over the past few years. His sets at festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Groove Cruise Miami, HARD Summer, and more have drawn swelling crowds looking to move and groove on the dancefloor. On the release front, GUDFELLA has become renowned for delivering infectious grooves with singles on labels such as Bite This!, Insomniac Records, and Good Good Records, while making his largest home on Thrive Music.

Through his rise, GUDFELLA has continued to churn out single after single, but he had his sights set on bigger projects this year. That culminated with the release of his debut EP on Thrive Music, galleria. Now available across all platforms, this seven-track EP is a snapshot of the dynamic range of influences that have shaped GUDFELLA over the years.

This EP is all about taking inspiration from every pocket of magic that life guides you through. I wanted to make it feel like a gallery of my different tastes in music, whether it be pop, jazz, house, [or] techno. At the end of the day, I want the songs to paint a picture of me.

GUDFELLA

That picture GUDFELLA painted is vibrant. Three solo tracks are spread throughout, starting with the EP’s opener, “all i wanna do is dance,” which is filled with throwback rave elements and vocals that resonate with any raver. The other two, “groove4me” and “terrace lullaby (drowning),” keep that house energy alive. The former layering in piano notes and vocal chops for added effect, while the latter leans more into the melodic side of the spectrum with organic drums and a pumping beat.

Yet there’s so much more that galleria offers as GUDFELLA teamed up with other artists to craft other memorable tunes. Hayley May and Cailin Russo join in on “mind + heart” and “looking,” lending their powerful vocals to make these dancefloor-ready tracks ooze with emotion. Yung Bae teamed up with GUDFELLA for a bumping disco-laced house ride on “pillowtalk” that you’ll find yourself coming back to for another listen. The EP’s closing track is the aptly titled “afties,” which brings Très Mortimer in for a track that is perfect for those late-night hours spent spinning in a warehouse.

Listen to galleria on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from GUDFELLA by following his social media channels.
